Social Media Revolution 2012 - This is a great introduction to Social Media
(Source: youtu.be)
Interaction Hierarchy - This is still a work in process, but I figure I would put this 1st draft out and hope for some crowdsourcing help from the community!
I wanted to make a list of all the possible social interaction a typical blog post could get in order of desirability. For example people could leave a comment, share to Facebook, Follow me on Twitter, email to friend and so on. For certain situations and specific strategy I would expect to reorder this list. For example, a B2B campaign might push the Linked in Share higher on the list of importance.
1) Direct Contact - Meaning it is direct and private one on one contact:
a) Call or text me
b) Email me
c) Comment on an article/post
d) Direct Message me on Twitter
e) Message me on Facebook
f) Message me on LinkedIn
2) Amplification Contact - Meaning this contact amplifies my message but does not request a direct response:
a) Retweet me on Twitter
b) Share Me on Facebook
c) Like or comment my post on Facebook
d) Repin my pin on Pinterest
e) Heart my photo on Instagram
f) Heart or reblog my post on Tumblr
g) Thumbs up my Stumble Upon post
h) Commenting/Review on Stumble Upon
i) Vote/Share on LinkedIn via Linked In Button
3) Subscription Contact - Meaning they subscribe to future posts but did not contact me directly or interact with a particular post:
a) Following me on Twitter
b) Friending me on Facebook
c) Subscription to email list or RSS
d) Liking my page that authored the post on Facebook
e) Following me on Tumblr
f) Follow me on Pinterest
g) Subscribe to me on youtube.com
h) Friend me on Stumble Upon
i) Follow me on LinkedIn
j) Follow me on Instagram
k) Add me to a Google+ circle

In school, we pretended like this was a video game. And OWNED it. You?
That stiff man with the stork is actually one of the most revered British generals from WWI. He was so good he got a Viscountcy. Edmund Allenby, 1st Viscount Allenby, first experienced combat in the Boer War. There, he became completely contemptous of the established command system. This contempt got him banished during WWI to the Middle East. Ironically, this was the making of his career. Allenby quickly gained the respect of the troops of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force by moving his HQ to a position closer to the front and visiting the troops regularly in the frontlines. He reorganized the EEF into an effective Corps system and imposing discipline and professionalism on the whole command. He also gave financial support to T.E. Lawrence’s efforts to unite the Arabs in revolt against their Ottoman overlords. It is even believed that one of his victories was a prelude to the Blitzkrieg that would prove so effective in WWII. All in all, a pretty cool guy.

I can picture him now. Rugged good looks, sweater knotted about his shoulders, curly locks shining in the sun like spun gold.
